SUN MOUNTAIN — KEY PROJECTS
PG&E GAS TRANSMISSION
• SERVICES: Project Management Services - Gas Transmission
• CITY/STATE: San Ramon CA
• Project start/completion: December 2014 to June 2018
Project Summary: Sun Mountain LLC conducted project management duties supporting natural gas transmission projects. These projects consisted of replacement of gas pipe systems and hydrostatic strength testing (Hydro Test) of high-pressure lines in ranges of 170 psi to 600 psi or more. Sun Mountain’s project managers were diligent coordinators of mufti- functional teams consisting of pipeline engineers, gas system operators and planners, land and environmental managers, customer service coordinators, government regulations specialists, encroachments, construction managers, contractors, and temporary gas operators. Almost all projects needed in-depth planning to remove operating gas systems from service in order to conduct the project strength tests or tie-in of new pieces, so Sun Mountain’s project managers played critical roles to the viability and health of the gas supply systems and the viability of the communities that were affected. Sun Mountain provided direct project metric reporting pre and post construction mobilization to the PG&E Program Management Office.
